Manual lymphatic massage (drainage)

Manual lymphatic drainage is performed by a physiotherapist with special training.

It's primaly therapeutic intervention, during procedure is change of press on capillary wall and improve exchange of substances between blood and tissues. Physiotherapist do set of massage techniques for the upper or lower limbs. After massage is necessary put on  a compression stockings or elastic bandage attached. Duration of procedure is between 40-60 minutes.

Indication: lymph edema of the upper or lower limbs, combined circulatory disorders.

Contraindications: bleeding, open skin wounds
